One of the... tons of single illustrations I did and am still doing for chubs.
I really wanted to do a huge tutorial like "Make awesome cookbook" but an emergency call from an editor last week deleted all plans within a nano second. =.=
I'm not unhappy, the project is cool *literally* but it means again being glued to the screen and doing everything but Chubs for another 8 weeks. Buh!

For entertainment and because some people keep asking:
Steps and the brush (the one and only I'm using 99% of the time) can be found in my blog.

If you use the brush please do not include it in any set you reupload anywhere. I know I can't control you but be so kind and remember.

Please read my comment in the blog entry. If you still have any questions let me know. I am freakin busy atm but I try to answer whenever I find an unused minute. :3

I downloaded the brush you use and I was wondering how you achieved that amazing blending in the brush sample! Is there special settings to achieve that?

Normally not. It totally depends on your Graphic Tablet settings (and if you normally use a lot of pressure or not) and you could test flow and opacity. I am the "not so much pressure" type AND of course the colors won't blend immediately. You you will have some inbetween steps, which means you habe to blend the aera you want blended by hand.
So not only one stroke but some more and maybe picking up the mix color that comes out and blending with that one.
I have no idea if you understand what I mean but it does work with the brush. I think in the example I used light pressure and picked up te middle color where both colors hit and blended with that one. It's 100%ly better than smudging around and if you finally got it right it doesn't take any longer.
