... and only than you realized how much you loved them.
I think everybody lost an umbrella once or twice... I have lost so many in almost every bigger city in Germany, it´s a pity .____. For Kulla the umbrella is something very special. Moonfishes love the rain and Kulla loves to play with them. But they show up only when it rains and a bunny is not that water-resistent... and you know... the very first plush you got will always be *better* than the new ones. You cannot replace cherished things with something new. It´s impossible. The little illustration is from autumn 2005. I guess some know that I am doing a whole bunch of new illustrations for a new Kulla book (atm 22 are already done... 22 of 28 O__O still 6 more to do ;___; ) and I hope I can upload them in MARCH >__> .. when the book will be available. Some good news already: First time ever the chance that Kulla gets translated into other languages as well is kinda HUGE. So if you are interested in my baby be patient and wait. And don´t order the old german version >_< The new is worth waiting. I got some mails with "I just got the book for christmas for XY.." and I was like "OH NOOOOSS!". Kulla changed a lot in the meanwhile. And my technique as well. Lotsa curly clouds on canvas  so excited  Watermark: Is a must. Sorry. Wont be on the print.. Anne |

this is a good depiction of that, but I think the expressionless look on her face takes away part of the feeling. perhaps a look of shock or loss or something woulod fit the girl more.
